This course helps equip experienced, qualified social workers with academic and professional mastery of social work with children and young people, their families and carers involving enabling and facilitating others, providing consultancy, demonstrating a high level of capability and a critical in-depth knowledge of the subject area; theories, applied skills and decision making around child development, safeguarding children and young people, social work with children and young people and their families; and management in contexts of risk, uncertainty, conflict and complex challenges; the course also covers planning research.
Additional Entry Requirements:Experienced, qualified, GSCC registered social workers (senior practitioner level or above) who have an Honours degree (or equivalent, according to University guidelines); and are supported by their employers.
