Law (single subject, level 6)

This qualification is best suited for candidates who do not wish to go on and become full Legal Executives and Fellows of the Institute of Legal Executives (ILEX), but who do require recognition in a specific professional area of law and legal practice; it offers a single unit qualification recognising candidates' achievements in a specific professional area of law and legal practice; for units 1-21, the qualification is endorsed with the legal area in which it is undertaken: level 6 certificate in law (contract law); for those candidates specifically interested in perfecting legal skills, achievement of both units 22 and 23 together is awarded as level 6 certificate in law (legal skills).

Any 1 module from: 1 Company and partnership law; 2 contract law; 3 criminal law; 4 employment law; 5 equity and trusts; 6 European Union law; 7 family law; 8 immigration law; 9 land law; 10 landlord and tenant law; 11 planning law; 12 public law; 13 law of tort; 14 law of wills and succession; 15 civil litigation; 16 the practice of company and partnership law; 17 conveyancing; 18 criminal litigation; 19 the practice of employment law; 20 the practice of family law; 21 probate practice; or both 22 client care skills and 23 legal research skills.
