This degree explores the techniques of illustration in order for students to have confidence in their ability to handle a range of media; their love of drawing and manipulating media is developed into a powerful, creative and individual form of communication; as well as developing artistic abilities, a range of key skills are covered which include information technology, communication, organisation, time management, business management and professional practice.
Level 1: Critical studies 1; introductory subject studies; principles; professional development 1; ideas and concepts; media and techniques. Level 2: Critical studies 2; professional development 2; extended practice; narrative; communication and media (40 credits). Level 3: Critical studies 3; professional practice; negotiated study 1 and 2 (40 credits each).
