The course provides a firm financial grounding for a career in accountancy, finance or general management; the course has 3 core subject areas: management accounting, financial accounting and financial management; students are encouraged to place these areas in the wider context of business decision-making.
Year 1: Topics include: financial reporting; management accounting; foundations of law; economics and financial markets; data analysis and research. Year 2: Core modules include: financial reporting and governance; business finance; management accounting and decision making; organisational behaviour and analysis; options include: taxation and auditing; finance and management in the public sector; accounting and information systems; law. Year 3:Accounting and accountability; strategic management and decision making; independent learning project.
