LCA Business School, London has progressed from strength to strength since its inception in 2000, securing its position as one of the UK's top private-sector educational institutions providing Business, Accountancy and Management focused courses. LCA Business School believes that in the current economic climate students want to study hard to obtain a good degree that will dramatically enhance their employment prospects, leading to a successful and rewarding future career. We also believe that the demands and pressures a student faces, not least of which is the necessity for acquiring the funds to pay for their university fees, are not compatible with the traditional university timetabling and course structures. This is why we teach our degree courses within a timetable that requires full student attendance on two days each week during term time, with supporting tutorials at other times throughout the week. We believe that, as a result, students can allocate time to pursue meaningful part-time employment to allow them to fund their education, without it having a detrimental effect upon their academic progress. With this approach, students should be able to gain a good undergraduate degree, without incurring a large debt burden by the end of the course. This is where we believe the future of undergraduate education lies. The quality of our undergraduate courses is assured through our accreditation by the University of Wales and by Anglia Ruskin University as well as our teaching faculty that consists of exceptional lecturers, all of whom are expert in their subject areas and renowned for their ability to communicate that knowledge to their students. Our quality is also reflected by the accolades that we have received, such as the prestigious 'Queen's Award for Enterprise'. We are already an established provider of educational opportunities to international students and as such, boast a truly diverse student body, something which can only enhance a students' learning experience. LCA Business School, London is located in the heart of London.

As one of the largest and most innovative Law Schools in the country, we are currently ranked first for Law amongst new Universities in London and the South-East of England (The Complete University Guide, The Independent 2010). We have around 60 academic members of staff and over 200 postgraduate law students.   The School of Law has consistently maintained excellent professional relationships with local and national legal practices and our students are regularly invited to events organised by the Hertfordshire Law Society and West London Law Society. These links will inevitably be strengthened with the School’s relocation to the modern £120m De Havilland Campus in 2011. A new £10m Law School is being built and this move will allow students to work in state of the art facilities, including a modern courtroom with public gallery, a bespoke Law Clinic and Mediation Centre. The Mediation Centre will become the centre of training for mediators in the region and will be an invaluable resource for both undergraduate students and also our students on our new full-time Legal Practice Course. Student wills also be able to take full advantage of a 24-hour Learning Resources Centre and unrivalled Sports Village. What our Students have to say Eva Smit(Graduated 2009) Eva Smit (LLB 2009) graduated with 1st class honours. Currently undertaking postgraduate study in International Relations at Cambridge University. Participated in the School's Mock Trial Project and Debating Society. Winner of prize for 'best performing second year student' in 2008. "The University of Hertfordshire provides a challenging, intellectually stimulating and socially enjoyable environment. Not only does the University offer a well-structured course with a variety of optional modules to satisfy all expectations, it also provides a wide range of extra-curricular activities. For instance, during my studies, I participated in debating and had the opportunity to attend a mock trial at the Court of Chancery in London. I regularly attended public lectures and seminars organized by the Student Law Society, which presented me with an excellent chance to speak to professionals from different legal backgrounds, thereby helping me to make an informed career choice. I was also able to attend dinners and other events organized by the Hertfordshire and West London Law Societies, so working hard on the course and networking at various social events enabled me to secure several work experience placements, including a Barristers mini-pupillage and a vacation placement. I also worked as a legal assistant and had the opportunity to shadow a County Court judge. Studying at the University of Hertfordshire was an invaluable experience which opened many doors. Having achieved a First Class degree, I am now undertaking a postgraduate course in International Relations at the University of Cambridge, after which I intend to complete the LPC in order to accomplish my aspiration of becoming a commercial solicitor. The time at our alma mater is what we make of it and the students of the University of Hertfordshire enjoy all the support and encouragement to make the most of it."

The Anglo-European College of Chiropractic (AECC) has one of the strongest identities of any chiropractic college in the world. The AECC is one of the oldest providers of chiropractic education outside the United States and is a dedicated institution whose mission is focused on the provision of chiropractic education and research at both undergraduate and post-graduate level. Founded in 1965, the AECC has built up a formidable reputation for innovative teaching, clinical excellence and pushing the frontiers of knowledge through research. The college’s faculty boasts some of the best teachers in their field and its students are committed and satisfied. The college’s staff and students come from all over the world and the insitution’s very name, Anglo-European College of Chiropractic, emphasises its intercontinental perspective. Indeed, around half of AECC students come from outside of the UK and the college continues to serve aspirant chiropractors from wherever they originate. Since September 2005, AECC courses have been validated by Bournemouth University and all new students will be registered for the award of a Bournemouth University degree. By working in partnership with its local university the AECC is able to enhance and enrich both its teaching and research activities, whilst maintaining the close collegiate atmosphere of a small specialist institution. Chiropractic is an expanding health care profession, primarily concerned with the diagnosis, treatment, prevention and rehabilitation of conditions and complaints of the musculoskeletal system. The chiropractic profession is known throughout the world as a specialist body of practitioners who can provide help and relief to countless thousands of people who would otherwise suffer prolonged pain and illness. Chiropractic is one of the fastest growing health care professions in both Europe and America. There are over 2,200 practising chiropractors in the UK presently, with the profession continuing to expand year-on-year. The AECC is continuing to grow to reflect this increased popularity. In April 2009, a new 1,500m² chiropractic teaching clinic was opened at the college’s Bournemouth-based campus – a state-of-the-art facility to benefit the local community and AECC students alike. The clinic is where students will spend a considerable part of their time at the AECC, experiencing the reality of treating patients first-hand, while under the supervision of experienced chiropractic tutors. The college is set in a grade II listed building, previously used as a convent, just a ten minute walk to a seven-mile stretch of golden coastline. With a student base of around 600, the AECC has an intimate feel, with most individuals here forming friendships which will last the test of time. The AECC’s mix of students from all around the world also ensures diversity of culture and tradition which is apparent from the moment you set foot in the college.

For more information on what the Students' Union have to offer, including events, clubs and societies please visit www.ueastudent.com What our Students Say Nicola Daniels LLB Law I chose to study at the University of East Anglia because it has a lovely campus and has a lot to offer. There are a good range of societies which I would recommend getting involved in as you get to meet a lot of different people and really get to enjoy it to the full. The Law School is a brilliant place to study as the law degree is excellently taught and the lecturers are always on hand to give guidance and support. Studying here gave me a fantastic start to my legal career. Stephanie Allen PGCE in Secondary Education The University of East Anglia was my first choice, as I had heard of its high reputation for this particular course, and I was able to continue to play korfball. As an England representative for korfball, I required a university which would support me with my training programme. I have been provided with an athlete support programme and mentor to allow me to continue to train as well as providing me with a sports bursary. I would thoroughly recommend the University of East Anglia to any student who likes their sport, as there are the facilities to compete at all levels, whether internationally or just with a few mates. Duncan White BA Politics Studying at the University has been an immensely beneficial and rewarding experience, which I would recommend to any prospective student. In my final year I was able to take up a Parliamentary Internship with Charles Clarke MP which gave me a fascinating insight into local politics and how aspects such as policymaking actually play out in real life. I also spent two weeks interning at News International, which presented an equally valuable perspective on the workings of a global corporate media organisation. During these internships I constantly drew on research and presentation skills which have been developed throughout my degree Lydia Wanjiru Munyi BA International Development The University has far surpassed my expectations. The International Development course is very well established, given that the University is home to the Overseas Development Group. Besides great academic opportunities there are many social activities such as sport clubs and societies, available to suit everyone’s taste. I especially enjoy the diverse nature of the campus where students from all over the world with different interests meet. There is also a genuine, friendly atmosphere that is demonstrated by all staff members. Despite being a campus university the proximity to the city allows you to enjoy the familiarity of the campus but also experience the excitement of Norwich. An Ideal Location Located on the outskirts of the medieval city of Norwich, and consistently voted one of the top cities for quality of life, bolster's our attraction to students. With all the facilities of a major city, Norwich is friendly, easy-going, and a safe place to live with a vibrant youthful outlook with nightclubs, cinemas, restaurants, theatres, over 300 pubs and bars alongside a variety of arts and entertainments venues. Rated one of the top ten shopping destinations in the UK, the city features a unique blend of independent boutiques, high street chains, shopping malls and an open-air market, set amidst a maze of pretty cobbled streets. The Norfolk coastline is on our doorstep and is home to wildlife sanctuaries, beautiful beaches, classical English countryside, bustling market towns, sleepy villages and grand stately homes. One of England's most beautiful national parks, The Broads, is also only 11 miles from the University. Norwich is only a 15 minute bus ride from our campus and has good bus and rail links to the rest of the UK and an international airport connecting you to the rest of Europe and beyond.
