Business advisory firm Deloitte is set to continue to recruit students for its summer internship scheme in 2011.
The company has already begun to offer roles for next year's Summer Vacation Scheme, which offers penultimate-year students work experience in the audit, tax or consulting divisions.
Undergraduates will have to solve everyday client problems as part of the seven-week programme.
The course will boost applicant's chances of being offered a graduate position as over 80 per cent of participants have been offered a role at the firm after leaving university.
Sarah Shillingford, graduate recruitment partner at Deloitte, expressed her belief that internships are essential to gain practical work experience.
She said: "The skills learned and experience gained carry real currency in the job market. Internships offer students a great opportunity to gain experience, a head start and make more informed career decisions."
Students will be paid around 85 per cent of a typical Deloitte graduate salary.
