Imperial College London, founded in 1907 and boasts a 10. 9:1 student to staff ratio and has students from over 123 countries in the world, it is no surprise then that Imperial is rated amongst the world's best universities, Imperial College London is a science based institution it delivers world class education and research in science, engineering, medicine and business, with particular emphasis to their application in industry, commerce and healthcare.

Facilities

There is a newly refurbished central library as well as individual department libraries on campus. The Central Library is now open 24 hours a day throughout the year.

Sports Facilities

The Ethos sports centre opened in February 2006. Imperial students have the opportunity to use their sports facilities for free. Students have the use of a pool, sauna and gym.

The closest tube is South Kensington.

Student Life

The Union has a couple of bars on campus, a good place to go before a night out and for cheap drinks. London is on your doorstep so you have the choice of hundreds of bars and clubs. For shopping, you can take a trip to the famous Oxford Street which is not too far when getting on the tube or if you fancy splashing the cash then pop into Harrods which is only a 5 minute walk from campus.
