The University of Bradford received its Royal Charter in 1966 and is located to the west of Bradford city centre. The University attracts large numbers of applicants, drawn by the prospect of good employment. The single campus boasts a close- knit student community and is committed to sustainable development.

Facilities include a library which is spread over three sites, an art gallery, theatre and music centre. Another £68m will be spent on building projects to improve laboratories in the school of life sciences and improvements to the student union building.
There is a newly refurbished sports centre on the main campus with a 100 station fitness suite, 25m swimming pool, indoor halls, sauna and solarium and 2 squash courts. There are also playing fields and artificial turf areas on campus.
Leeds is approximately 20 minutes away by train. Walking into town takes about 15 minutes.
The Students' Union boasts a 1,300 capacity venue, 2 bars and its own cinema. Generally Bradford is very friends and most places have cheap student prices. Student favourites include The Shearbridge, The Black Swan, Wetherspoons and New Beehive.
