The University of Oxford is the oldest university in the English-speaking world. Year after year, Oxford is a university at, or near the top of national and global rankings. It is often said that Oxford students work, party, and sleep but there's no doubt that this will be a challenge.

The library is considered to be one of the best in the UK with over 100 separate libraries. The university also have four museums and a botanic garden.
Oxford is amazing for sports. As well as the college sport grounds, the university has facilities including 4 rugby pitches, an Olympic water-based Astroturf pitch, a pulse gym, fencing and shooting room, 2 lacrosse fields, a climbing wall and a indoor cricket school.
Good transport links. Everything is within walking distance. There are frequent trains and coaches to major cities around the UK.
There are over 400 clubs and societies you can join including media, music, performing arts and politics. At Oxford, you will get the sense of a cosmopolitan atmosphere, with historic architecture. The high street offers popular stores, coffee shops and restaurants, as well as a thriving bar and club scene. In terms of scenery, Oxford boasts lovely green spaces, including lovely riverside walks and the University parks and college gardens.
