London School of Film, Media & Performance

A new centre of excellence for industry-focused media training has opened its doors in central London. The London School of Film, Media & Performance (LSFMP) is the latest and most commercially-based media degree institution in the country.

LSFMP's central ethos is that the modern media degree is no longer a traditional study of culture and society. It must be an intensive hands-on training for a wide, fast-growing and rapidly-changing industry.

In designing each degree, LSFMP has asked key industry personnel: "If you were doing your degree course now, what do you believe it should contain?"

The result is that all programmes have been constructed on present and future needs, and are backed by commendations from successful industry leaders and practitioners at the top of their creative fields.

"Were I starting out as a writer now, these are exactly the kinds of courses I would be looking to undertake."
Adrian Hodges, Writer/Producer - credits include Survivors and Primeval
.

The School is part of Regent’s College London, the largest college of private Higher Education in the UK, and offers the following courses:

  • Acting Foundation Course (one year)
  • BA (Hons) Acting & Global Theatre
  • BA (Hons) Creative Industries
  • BA (Hons) Screenwriting & Producing

Places are available on all courses for September entry; scholarships are available for talented students.

LSFMP has undergraduate Open Days on Tuesday 3 August and Saturday 14 August.
