Chemistry is the science of matter and the changes it undergoes; it is about the quality of life and its continuous improvement.
Universities offer the opportunity to study a wide range of chemical subject areas.

The benefit of studying chemistry in the UK is that many national and international leading researchers in chemistry operate from UK university chemistry departments, and a strong collaboration between university departments and chemical industries provides some students with the opportunity to spend a portion of their study within industry.
