The University of Bristol’s Faculty of Biomedical Sciences trains students on both taught and research-based programmes across the medical science disciplines of Biochemistry, Cellular and Molecular Medicine, and Physiology and Pharmacology. All of our programmes are taught by active research staff drawn from these areas.
Our range of postgraduate programmes provide interdisciplinary training
in the Biomedical Sciences and include opportunities to pursue cutting-edge medical research guided by leading clinicians and academics.
Graduates from our taught postgraduate programmes find that they have received excellent preparation for Ph.D. programmes or for employment. The numerical and problem-solving training that is integral to our programmes and our training in the ability to manage research and communicate effectively, provides our students with important transferable skills that are highly desired by employers in a variety of industries.
