If you are approaching the end of your time at school you will most likely be facing the decision to make some important choices. You’ll be faced with the decision to decide what you want to do once you have finished your GCSEs. Your choices are really important and it’s important you make sure you make the right choice as it could affect the future.

If you choose to go straight into full time work then you will start earning money – which is always desirable but it may mean that you could limit your future earning because you don’t have as many qualifications.

Another option is to stay in education and choose to do your A-Levels so that you can go onto university. This is a great boost for the future and shows future employers that you are committed. You will also gain valuable skills and learn how to be more independent in terms of money and looking after yourself.

The other option is to still continue in education but by doing a vocational qualification. This will mean you’ll be gaining useful skills for the workplace specific to the qualification you are gaining but this route only gives you an advantage if you already know what career you want to work towards.

You now have some important decisions to make but no matter what path you choose to take, whether it be continuing with education or getting a job you will be on your way to learning more valuable skills and knowledge.
